Campaign Mario was born in Guayaquil in 1959 . Obtained his law degree and after living in Mexico City, Glasgow and Paris, goes live in Catalonia, where he has resided since 1992.
His latest book of poetry is Aires de Ellicott City, also translated into French. In addition, he wrote literary biographies Francisco de Quevedo, del mundo el Hechizo , (Omega, 2003) Baudelaire. Juego sin triunfos (Random House Mondadori, 2006). He has translated A Tumba para Anatole of Stéphan Mallarmé and dealt with 4 anthologies: modern poetry Ecuadorian (1999), Así en la tierra como en los sueños (1991), Visiones de lo real en poetry hispanoamericana (DVD, 2001), En el sueño de Chagall faltan palabras. Antología de Poetas hispanoamericanas contemporáneas (Bruguera, 2007).
often collaborates in literary magazines in Ecuador, Venezuela, Mexico, Argentina, USA, France and Spain. He is the director of the Journal of Latin American culture Guaraguao .
