in the XVI International Poetry Festival in Genoa which will be held 10 to 20 June 2010, The Ecuadorian Diaspora Poetry Contest "Jorgenrique Adoum" , poet Ecuador (Ambato 29 . VI.1926 3.VII.2009-Quito).
The objective of this initiative is to stimulate self-representation of migrants and reflection on human mobility, in particular to make it visible to the community of Genoa, through poetic expression, the less known aspects of the community and specific Ecuadorian resident in Liguria: poetry promotes the meeting between the community of Genoa and the Ecuadorian community, the largest migrant community in Genoa.
The contest will be divided into three sections
The first section wants to give participants the opportunity to use English as their native language for self-representation and express their creativity through its poetic roots. The second section
wants to give voice to participants who prefer to use the Italian language as a vehicle for poetic expression.
The third section is reserved for young people of Ecuador who want to express themselves both in language Italian and English.
Participants
I and Section II: from Ecuador 25 years and over, resident in the Region of Liguria
Section III: Ecuadorian youth between 12 and 24 years old at April 30, 2010, residents in the Region of Liguria
To age competitors require a signed declaration in which the s owner / s of parental authority authorizes / no candidate to participate in the competition.
Award
I and Section II
First prize: € 200 and € 100 voucher books
Runner-up: € 150 and a book voucher of € 100
Section III
First prize: € 500 and a € 100 voucher books
Runner-up: € 250, a voucher for € 100 and a book voucher Crafts Ecuadorian € 50.
Third prize: € 150 and a gift voucher of € 50 Ecuadorian crafts.
The award ceremony and reading of the texts will be participating in the month of June 2010 at Palazzo Ducale in the XVI International Poetry Festival in Genoa. (Day and time to be determined)
Mode
1. Registration is free.
2. Each competitor may submit up to three poems in English and up to 3 poems in Italian.
3. Each poem will have a maximum of 500 words.
4. The theme can be poetic free inspiration.
5. The text may be completely new and have not been published and / or awarded in previous competitions.
6. You must submit a signed envelope containing the texts, accompanied by a card with the following information:
- Names and Surnames
- Date and place of birth of participant, address, mailing address, email address and telephone number.
- Title of the poem or poems sent
